How To Help MHVLUG
People are often looking for ways to help promote and advance MHVLUG, but don't know what they can do to help. This page is a place to brainstorm on ways to help out with the LUG.
Spread the Word
One of the big things we need is more publicity, there are lots of ways to do that. The most simple is to just tell you friends that we exist, and get them to come out to a meeting. There are also more formal things that we'd like to do:
- Put up Flyers - print off the latest MHVLUG flyer, and post it at your local library, local town office, local school, or anywhere else that you think people might be interested that allows such posters to be put up.
- Submit MHVLUG to local events callendars (then list that here)
Get one of the LocalPapers to do an interview or story with the group. SeanDague is always eager and willing to talk to local press, all we need is an in.
Help with the Web Site
We have a ToDo list of things we'd like to add to the website. If you are interested in contributing content it is *really easy* with the new Wiki. If you would like to help please check out HelpForBeginners to understand the basics of the Wiki.
In order to edit or add a page to the wiki, you will need to create a user account. To learn more about this read HelpOnUserPreferences.
Give a Presentation
MHVLUG hosts a technical presentation at the MonthlyMeetings. We are always looking for new speakers and topics. Please contact SeanDague if you are interested in speaking at MHVLUG.
